my life in paper

I finally did something I'd been meaning to do for years: I organized a bunch of neglected paperwork. This is stuff ranging from my monthly admin-fee/electricity bills to my bank passbooks (common in Canada but not the US) to gas bills to tax-related documents to random crap from America. The one happy moment was when I found a drawing I don't even remember doing—one of Tiger gleefully ripping the head off Rabbit. I'm going to scan it, and I'll doubtless display a lower-res copy of it on the blog (monitor resolution is traditionally 72 dpi; I'll be scanning at 300 dpi). As for the organized stuff... I have to figure out a better and more compact way to store it. I'm still thinking about that. In the meantime, dealing with this paperwork was also a chance for me to root around some closets and do some decluttering, which allowed me to free up some storage space for items that, up to now, had been rather awkwardly stowed away (e.g., champagne glasses in my bathroom's medicine cabinet). There's more to do on this front, but I've reached a good stopping point for tonight.
