Hawaii fire and dark humor

This sketch definitely has a point, and I think it's a good one if I've understood correctly.

Regarding the Maui fire, the pushback I'm seeing from commenters on the right comes down to: Hawaii is a far-left, Democrat-voting state, and many Hawaiians don't want to be American, anyway, so fuck 'em. I can understand having limited sympathy since it does seem the Hawaiian government prioritized "climate change" over realistic disaster-protection measures (Michael Shellenberger, the author of the linked piece, shifted from Democrat to independent), but that doesn't mean I think the citizenry deserves to die.

If I understand Griffy's point in the video, he's targeting the selfish, parasitic type of tourist who couldn't give a damn about what's happening in Maui right now, where a wildfire has led to over 1,000 people missing and well over 100 people dead. I don't think Griffy's video is meant as an indictment of all tourists; he's merely highlighting the selfishness of tourists targeted in comments like this:

While the fire [was] still happening[,] we heard tourists complaining about how fires [were] ruining their vacation. Honestly[,] we saw some tourists donate all their clothes and food to help[,] but those [other] folks were so disrespectful.

Hats off to the tourists who have been trying to help. I hope the other islands of Hawaii come together and do what they can to help Maui. Joe Biden initially said "No comment" when asked about Maui, prompting righties to sneer that he can't operate without a script. I think he's since initiated some half-measures on behalf of Hawaii, but here, too, the right is dogging him for doing way more for Ukraine than for Maui. America-last Joe.
