AI's pernicious influence on the "news"

This is not good at all, and it's only going to get worse:

AI is set to add to all the confusion in public discourse by dumping huge manure piles of fake news onto our heads. Yet another thing to watch out for.

  1. Stupid is as stupid does. People will believe what they want, then seek confirmation to justify their ignorance. This AI bullshit provides another source.

True story: I posted a pic of the White House with a sign reading "Trader Joe's" and commented, "bought and paid for by China." I got more than one "fake news" response, pointing out that Trader Joe's (the grocery chain) is not owned by the Chinese and, in fact, limits products from China on their shelves.

Is that level of stupid willful? If so, there must be a lot of blissful people out there.
